I <3 Bike Fest
Another Fort Worth Bike Fest in the books. And to say this year was bigger and better would be a understatement! I had a great day behind the lens seeing so many people have a great day playing with bikes. Better yet, able to capture some pretty stellar images from a lot of the event. Please go check this gallery out and snag some shots of your own.
Ringside
Being a photographer who shoots mostly outdoor events, a lot of my events are at the mercy of unpredictable Texas weather. As such, I like to think I have become somewhat of an expert at pivoting in situations where my plans have been canceled and I'm left with no work for my camera. This past weekend was just one of those circumstances.
2024 Fort Worth Bike Fest, Here We Come!
The 2024 Fort Worth Bike Fest at Gateway Park is just a few days away, and I wanted to share a glimpse of the past couple of years with some of my favorite images from past Bike Fests. This event is very special to me as not only is it right here in my hometown, but – a little-known fact – it kind of started from a conversation I had after attending Bentonville Bikefest (I’m super original, I know).
DFW Spring Series Week 3
After getting rained out last week DFW Series Racing is back at Gateway park once again for some Thursday night fun. This week i took a brake from the trail action shots a bit to instead get some shots of the community that makes this even so much fun.
Adobe Shows Off Generative AI Video
This week, Adobe released plans to add AI features, including generative AI, to Adobe Premiere Pro. Most of these features deal with video editing rather than photography editing, but because I’ve been dipping my toes more and more into video editing lately, I wanted to share my thoughts on these features and what they could mean for the future of AI video.

TMBRA - Cameron Park Blowout!
Made it out to the Texas Mountain Bike Racing Associations Cameron park blow out to capture some of the action this weekend. With the weather dismal. I was met with very low light conditions and a little rain. A.K.A. the perfect time to bust out the speed lights and get some shots with a wireless 2 light setup.
Texas GRiT
GRiT Coaches, Ambassadors, and Junior Ambassadors (collectively called GRiT Leaders) are role models who organize, support and encourage other female student-athletes to find joy and empowerment through cycling. They are always thinking about ways to bring more girls into the sport, and particularly girls from all races, geographic regions, and socio-economic backgrounds. GRiT Leaders promote inclusion and are full of stoke for cycling. They are also welcoming, positive, supportive, kind and passionate about life.

#MOREKIDSONBIKES
This is by far my favorite hashtag to use on social media posts.
It’s almost always paired with a photo of a kid on their bike doing something amazing. Big jumps and drops, conquering technical climbs, or making a mad sprint to the finish line. But it’s not the athleticism that makes it my favorite hashtag - although that is certainly not nothing.
No, these photos never cease to impress me not just because of what you see in that photo, but because of what they represent - a community that surrounds them with support and brings families and friends together both on and off the bike.
This, to me, is what #morekidsonbikes is all about and why I am so passionate about organizations like NICA and the Texas Mountain Bike League.
