2024 Texas Twister Gravel Challenge

When you’ve lived in Texas long enough, it can be easy to forget that the state has it’s own kind of beautiful landscapes. We may not have the mountains of the Rockies, gorgeous beaches like California or Florida, or stunning desserts like New Mexico and Arizona.

But what we do have are plains and hills that may not be as visually pleasing as other regions of the US, but make for an incredible backdrop for gravel races.

The 2024 Texas Twister Gravel Challenge by Spinistry is the first time I have ever been out to take photos of a gravel race, and I can say without a doubt that I will be looking for more gravel races to attend.

It was the perfect time of year for a race like this, with wildflowers in full bloom and green fields and trees as far as the eye could see. Honestly, taking pictures of the livestock and scenery was almost as much fun as taking photos of the race itself!
